Things you should know
This is a Chopard St. Moritz, reference 8319, dating to circa 1990. This particular example stands out as a less common variant of the model. It features a self-winding automatic movement and a larger 30mm case, distinguishing it from the more frequently seen 24mm quartz versions and making it a noteworthy specification. The watch is presented in a remarkable state of preservation.
The 30mm stainless steel case is exceptionally sharp, and the clear definition between its brushed and polished surfaces strongly indicates that it has never been polished. The bezel retains its original vertical satin finish; the superficial marks it has acquired over time are visible but serve as a testament to the originality of the finish itself. All reference and serial numbers on the caseback are deep and clearly legible.
The dial is a pristine and uniform white, in perfect aesthetic condition. The layout features applied Roman numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock positions, with baton markers for the remaining hours. A key feature is the set of original hands, which hold their tritium lume. This lume has aged to a consistent and warm yellow patina, an expected and desirable characteristic for a piece of this vintage. A date aperture is correctly positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock, and the dial is framed by an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals.
The watch is powered by its automatic movement and is fitted with its original integrated steel bracelet. The bracelet is notably tight, showing very little stretch, and retains its original factory finish, consistent with the condition of the case. It fits a wrist up to 17 cm (6.7 inches).
Each watch is accompanied by a 1-year mechanical warranty, providing coverage for all its components starting from the date of purchase. Furthermore, prior to being showcased for online sale, every watch undergoes a thorough overhaul by our watchmaker, guaranteeing its optimal condition.
Certainly, the warranty extends specifically to cover wear and tear of the movement. It's important to note that damages resulting from misuse or accidental incidents will not fall under the protection of the warranty.
It's essential to bear in mind that all the watches are over 20 years old. Consequently, while they offer unique charm and character, you should understand that they may not exhibit the same precision as modern watches.
Our utmost priority is your satisfaction with your purchase. Consequently, irrespective of your location, we cover the shipping expenses. While all shipping expenses are covered, duties and import taxes are solely your responsibility.
Every shipment is fully insured and will be delivered through DHL Express or another reputable shipping company with whom we have a partnership, ensuring coverage of the total price of the watch for a secure and reliable shipping experience.
