In 1954, Longines introduced the Conquest line, marking a significant milestone and heralding a new era for the company. The Conquest line represented the inaugural phase of a fresh development and marketing strategy, characterized by the introduction of named lines or families of watches. This Longines timepiece belongs to a later phase in its production, serving as a symbol of the era during which it was crafted. The 1970s marked a period of experimentation for numerous watchmaking companies, and Longines was no exception. The distinctive tonneau-cushion case shape of this watch reflects the design trends and innovations characteristic of that time.
Things you should know
This Longines Conquest is in excellent vintage condition. The dial has preserved its original ivory color, and the lume on the hands, although slightly yellowish-beige, complements the dial.
The case is nearly flawless, boasting sharp edges, with only minor scratches on the mirror-finished caseback.
Included are three extra links, and the watch comes with its original paper tag.
