This Piaget Ref. 9643 is a distinctive and rare vintage timepiece, featuring a solid 18k yellow gold case that remains unpolished, preserving its sharp edges and original proportions. It shows minor surface marks consistent with age, but no significant alterations to its shape.
The dial has developed a natural patina over time, with flaking and circular discoloration at the center and scattered across the surface, giving it an unmistakable vintage charm. The black Roman numerals and closed minute track are still well-defined, maintaining their readability. The most notable and rare feature of this watch is the Rothschild family emblem at 6 o’clock, making it an exceptional collector’s piece.
The glass crystal has a visible mark between the center of the dial and 12 o’clock, adding to the watch’s vintage character without affecting legibility.
Inside, the manual-winding Caliber 9P1, one of Piaget’s ultra-thin movements, remains in excellent working condition, maintaining both precision and a sleek profile.
The watch is fitted with its original Piaget bracelet, measuring 175mm - 180mm in length. When the watch is laid flat on a surface, the bracelet appears slightly bent near the case at the 12 o’clock side. However, this is not noticeable when worn and does not affect its fit or comfort on the wrist.
The case, dial, movement, and bracelet are all signed by Piaget, ensuring authenticity.
