Things you should know
This Cartier Vendome Ellipse is in excellent overall condition. The case maintains its beautiful and elegant appearance with minimal scratching and only light polishing. The original brushed finish on the caseback remains intact, with the engravings still legible, though slightly faded from polishing.
The dial and hands are in outstanding vintage condition, showing some yellowing around the center where the hands attach to the hour pinion. The black Roman numerals retain their deep, black color, and the Cartier signature features what is known as a "pagoda A," resembling a Japanese pagoda. This characteristic indicates that the watch is most likely from before 1973. This model, which often exhibits spidering and crackling issues due to the delicate nature of the dial, is in perfect condition, featuring the rare "Paris" signature at the bottom.
The strap is not original and comes with its own buckle; however, the original Cartier 18kt gold buckle will be included with the watch for those who wish to have a custom strap made and use it.
The watch is in remarkable condition for its age and functions perfectly.
