Initially, the serial number 12'100'796 is associated with an 18-carat gold wristwatch featuring the reference 2407. This timepiece is part of the Flagship collection and was billed to UVB, Uhren Verkauf Büro, Longines' agent for various Eastern European countries, on September 26, 1963.
Notably, this specific watch retains the exquisite sailing boat engraving on the caseback, a distinctive characteristic of the Flagship collection that Longines firstly introduced in 1957.
Things you should know
This watch is in excellent overall condition. The dial is in superb shape, and the case appears to be in its original state. The lugs are exceptionally well-preserved, offering a sharpness that meets high expectations, and the watch sits elegantly on the wrist.
While there are a few minor scratches, and some marks on the rear side of the lugs from strap changes over the years, the overall integrity of the watch remains impressive. The edges of the case back exhibit signs of attempts over the years to open it. A bluish patina has developed on the case, visible in certain spots around the crystal.
The crystal displays light scratches; however, these do not impact the clear view of the dial.
