Things you should know
This is a rare vintage Boucheron, model BB Galbè, dating to circa 1970. The model is notable for its size, which at 22 x 34 mm is significantly larger than more common square designs from the period, making it suitable for a wider range of wrists.
The yellow gold case is in very good aesthetic condition. It has been lightly polished but retains its strong geometry, with some superficial scratches on the case and caseback, particularly near the opening notch. The engravings on the caseback remain deep and clearly legible, indicating that the case has not been over-polished. The French eagle's head hallmark for gold is visible on both the caseback and the side of the case.
A key element of this design is the curved case profile, which allows the watch to conform comfortably to the wrist's shape. The glass crystal has some light surface scratches that do not hinder the legibility of the dial. The dial itself is in excellent condition, featuring a vertical satin finish that contrasts with the crisp, black painted "Boucheron" signature at 12 o'clock. The hour markers are applied, with a double bar index at the 12 o'clock position. The crown is in perfect condition and is set with a blue cabochon.
A unique feature of this model is its case-integrated clasp system. While the watch is currently fitted with a classic aftermarket blue leather strap for universal adaptability, a custom strap can be commissioned by the new owner to work with the original design, where the closure is concealed within the case itself.
Each watch is accompanied by a 1-year mechanical warranty, providing coverage for all its components starting from the date of purchase. Furthermore, prior to being showcased for online sale, every watch undergoes a thorough overhaul by our watchmaker, guaranteeing its optimal condition.
Certainly, the warranty extends specifically to cover wear and tear of the movement. It's important to note that damages resulting from misuse or accidental incidents will not fall under the protection of the warranty.
It's essential to bear in mind that all the watches are over 20 years old. Consequently, while they offer unique charm and character, you should understand that they may not exhibit the same precision as modern watches.
Our utmost priority is your satisfaction with your purchase. Consequently, irrespective of your location, we cover the shipping expenses. While all shipping expenses are covered, duties and import taxes are solely your responsibility.
Every shipment is fully insured and will be delivered through DHL Express or another reputable shipping company with whom we have a partnership, ensuring coverage of the total price of the watch for a secure and reliable shipping experience.
