This Blancpain Villeret Triple Calendar Monophase ref. 6595 holds a remarkable place in the brand's history, being part of the first series produced under the leadership of Jean-Claude Biver and Jacques Piguet in the early 1980s. As one of Blancpain's six masterpieces, this reference is not only a testament to the brand's rebirth but also an excellent example of craftsmanship from the period.
The case is in overall excellent condition with light scratches, subtle marks of its over 30-year history, adding to the character of a timepiece that has been well-preserved. The edges remain clean, and the caseback shows only superficial wear, indicating the watch may have undergone a light polishing, if at all. The deep and legible engravings, including the Blancpain logo and low serial number, further attest to its careful handling and status as one of the first 500 pieces produced.
