The Condition Report

This Omega Constellation features the iconic "Pie-Pan" dial and is executed in 18k rose gold, a significantly rarer alloy for this era compared to the more common yellow gold variants. In the hierarchy of vintage Constellations, rose gold remains among the most difficult to source, surpassed in rarity only by white gold examples.

The watch is presented in exceptional, unpolished vintage condition. The case retains its original geometry, with the lugs remaining sharp and preserving the distinct facets and proportions intended by Omega. While the gold surfaces show light superficial scratches consistent with honest use, the case remains thick and well-defined. It still carries its original Omega-signed plexiglass crystal.

The dial is finished in a matching rose gold tone, creating a sophisticated monochromatic aesthetic. A notable and refined detail of this specific execution is the use of black onyx inlays within both the multifaceted hour markers and the handset. This contrasting detail provides superior legibility and a sharp, architectural elegance against the warmth of the rose gold. The dial remains in excellent aesthetic condition, with the "Pie-Pan" edges catching the light sharply.

Internally, the watch is powered by an Omega automatic movement from the period preceding the widespread "Chronometer" certification labels that defined later models. This makes it a fascinating early example of the Constellation's evolution, combining high-grade mechanical watchmaking with the rarity and distinctive aesthetic of a rose gold and onyx configuration.

Performance Log
Upon arrival, every watch is verified for authenticity. The movement is then completely disassembled, and each individual component is cleaned. Once reassembled and lubricated, the timepiece undergoes a rigorous 72-hour test in all dynamic positions.

The technical values listed below are merely a snapshot recorded in the "Dial Up" position. Variations in amplitude or rate compared to modern standards are physiological for vintage timepieces.

Furthermore, strictly adhering to our philosophy of preservation, we prioritize retaining original components whenever possible, even if this results in slightly lower performance metrics, provided they do not compromise the reliability and correct functioning of the timepiece.
