Things you should know
This Pierre Cardin "Espace" Ref. PC 107 is a remarkable example from a collection that was groundbreaking in the early '70s and remains just as avant-garde today. Designed by the iconic Pierre Cardin, this watch draws inspiration from the space age and the 1969 moon landing, making it a true piece of design history.
In terms of condition, this timepiece is in very good vintage shape. The dial is particularly impressive, with striking blue markers and hands that remain oxidation-free, preserving their vibrant color and clarity. The case retains its original finish, showcasing a mix of vertical brushing on the sides and a polished mirror finish around the dial and case back. While the case shows superficial scratches and small dents, these imperfections serve as a testament to its well-lived life, adding a layer of character and authenticity.
The serial number and "Jaeger" inscription on the case back are still clear and legible, providing strong evidence of its provenance. The crown, while likely a later replacement, matches the original in style and size, ensuring that it complements the overall design. Although it sits slightly farther from the case than the original, this minor deviation does not affect functionality and maintains the aesthetic harmony of the watch.
One of the most intriguing aspects of this watch is the movement. While the collaboration between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Jaeger France during the production of these watches remains a topic of debate, the use of the FHF 36 calibre by Fabrique d'Horlogerie Fontainemelon adds to its historical significance. This movement, supplied by a respected Swiss manufacturer, reinforces the watch’s connection to Swiss watchmaking despite its French production.
The crystal, while showing some superficial scratches and two more noticeable ones at the 12 and 3 o'clock positions, has been preserved in its original state. This decision was made to maintain the integrity of the timepiece, as the original crystal is a key component of its vintage charm.
Additionally, this watch comes with its original leather strap and buckle, both of which are rare finds and add to the overall collectability.
Each watch is accompanied by a 1-year mechanical warranty, providing coverage for all its components starting from the date of purchase. Furthermore, prior to being showcased for online sale, every watch undergoes a thorough overhaul by our watchmaker, guaranteeing its optimal condition.
Certainly, the warranty extends specifically to cover wear and tear of the movement. It's important to note that damages resulting from misuse or accidental incidents will not fall under the protection of the warranty.
It's essential to bear in mind that all the watches are over 20 years old. Consequently, while they offer unique charm and character, you should understand that they may not exhibit the same precision as modern watches.

Every shipment is fully insured and will be delivered through DHL Express or another reputable shipping company with whom we have a partnership, ensuring coverage of the total price of the watch for a secure and reliable shipping experience.
