The Condition Report

This is a Rolex Date, reference 1503, crafted in 18k yellow gold. The case has been previously polished but retains strong proportions, with thick, defined lugs and a well-preserved fluted bezel. Light surface scratches and minor indentations are present across the case, consistent with historical wear on a soft precious metal.

The focal point of the timepiece is its solid gold dial, known among enthusiasts as an "Havana Ghost" dial. It exhibits a distinct warm brownish-gold hue that shifts dynamically depending on the lighting angle, taking on a muted or semi-translucent appearance under bright light.

The watch is fitted with its original, long 18k yellow gold rivet bracelet. The bracelet displays a moderate amount of stretch appropriate for its age and remains structurally sound. Deeper, more pronounced scratches are visible on the side of the folding clasp cover, serving as honest indicators of regular use over time.

Performance Log
Upon arrival, every watch is verified for authenticity. The movement is then completely disassembled, and each individual component is cleaned. Once reassembled and lubricated, the timepiece undergoes a rigorous 72-hour test in all dynamic positions.

The technical values listed below are merely a snapshot recorded in the "Dial Up" position. Variations in amplitude or rate compared to modern standards are physiological for vintage timepieces.

Furthermore, strictly adhering to our philosophy of preservation, we prioritize retaining original components whenever possible, even if this results in slightly lower performance metrics, provided they do not compromise the reliability and correct functioning of the timepiece.
