Things you should know
This Rolex Precision Ref. 9659J is in excellent and well-preserved condition. The case remains sharp and appears unpolished, with minor surface scratches that contribute to the character of the watch. The lugs and case back retain their defined edges, with only a few superficial marks. The case back has been polished over time; originally, it featured a satin finish with a lightly engraved Rolex coronet and serial number. Due to the faint nature of these engravings, they were lost after the first few polishings.
The dial is the standout feature of this watch, boasting a pristine white/silver sunburst finish. It shows no signs of oxidation and remains remarkably well-preserved. The yellow gold hands and applied hour markers exhibit only the slightest patina, enhancing the watch’s vintage appeal. The Plexiglass crystal is in near-perfect condition, free of noticeable scratches. The gold crown is original, maintaining its slim profile with the Rolex coronet intact.
The strap and buckle are modern replacements and not original Rolex parts.
The dial, case, and movement are all signed by Rolex, affirming the authenticity and heritage of this refined dress watch.
