The Condition Report

This Cartier Santos Carré, reference 2961, is presented in good vintage condition. Although the case and bracelet have been polished in the past, the original proportions, bevels, and geometry remain well-defined. The bezel features a vertical satin-brushed finish rather than the standard polished polish, displaying three noticeable indentations between the 7 and 8 o'clock positions alongside light surface scuffs consistent with period wear.

The dial is in flawless condition, showing no signs of the spidering craze effect commonly observed on lacquer dials of this era. It provides a sharp contrast against the signature blued-steel hands.

The caseback remains in excellent condition with fully legible engravings and intact serial numbers. Traces of the original red enamel inlay inside the caseback lettering remain visible, showing natural loss due to wear over time.

The watch is fitted to its original integrated bracelet featuring a single-folding clasp, sized to accommodate wrists up to 18 cm.

Performance Log
Upon arrival, every watch is verified for authenticity. The movement is then completely disassembled, and each individual component is cleaned. Once reassembled and lubricated, the timepiece undergoes a rigorous 72-hour test in all dynamic positions.

The technical values listed below are merely a snapshot recorded in the "Dial Up" position. Variations in amplitude or rate compared to modern standards are physiological for vintage timepieces.

Furthermore, strictly adhering to our philosophy of preservation, we prioritize retaining original components whenever possible, even if this results in slightly lower performance metrics, provided they do not compromise the reliability and correct functioning of the timepiece.
