The Condition Report

This is a Cartier Santos Galbée, reference 1564, dating to circa 2000. This model is a celebrated evolution of the original Santos, refined with a curved (galbée) case profile that follows the natural shape of the wrist for superior comfort.

The watch is presented in excellent aesthetic condition. Both the case and the integrated bracelet have been recently professionally polished, resulting in a finish that is nearly free of marks, with only the faintest hairlines visible under close inspection. The signature polished bezel remains sharp and flat, maintaining its original presence.

The dial features the iconic Cartier aesthetic: a crisp white surface with bold black Roman numerals and blued-steel sword hands. The sapphire crystal is in great condition, though it bears a very small mark on the outer edge between the 2 and 3 o'clock positions. This detail is extremely subtle and difficult to detect, becoming visible only under specific, strong lighting.

The original steel bracelet is tight and well-preserved, featuring the classic screw-motif links and a hidden clasp. Powered by the reliable Cartier Caliber 687 quartz movement, this timepiece is a perfect blend of historic design and modern practicality.

Performance Log
Upon arrival, every watch is verified for authenticity. The movement is then completely disassembled, and each individual component is cleaned. Once reassembled and lubricated, the timepiece undergoes a rigorous 72-hour test in all dynamic positions.

The technical values listed below are merely a snapshot recorded in the "Dial Up" position. Variations in amplitude or rate compared to modern standards are physiological for vintage timepieces.

Furthermore, strictly adhering to our philosophy of preservation, we prioritize retaining original components whenever possible, even if this results in slightly lower performance metrics, provided they do not compromise the reliability and correct functioning of the timepiece.
