The Condition Report

This Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 3590, is a classic vintage time-only watch cased in 18k yellow gold. The watch has been lightly polished in the past and presents in strong aesthetic condition. The yellow gold case exhibits surface wear and small nicks consistent with age and use, primarily near the caseback opening area. The distinctive hobnail finish on the bezel remains sharp and well-defined, preserving its intended texture.

The defining feature of this timepiece is the naturally aged dial. Initially produced with a blue finish, the surface has patinated over time to exhibit a deep violet hue that dynamically shifts between blue and purple depending on the angle of ambient light. Additionally, the dial has developed a uniform "lightning" pattern, characterized by fine, golden fissure-like oxidation lines branching across the surface and surrounding the indices. This particular patination behavior is a documented characteristic typical of Patek Philippe blue dials from this specific production era.

The gold baton hands and applied indices show light, uniform oxidation that complements the patinated dial plate. The plexiglass crystal is in very good condition. Powering the watch is an automatic movement that has recently undergone a comprehensive professional service and is functioning perfectly.

Performance Log
Upon arrival, every watch is verified for authenticity. The movement is then completely disassembled, and each individual component is cleaned. Once reassembled and lubricated, the timepiece undergoes a rigorous 72-hour test in all dynamic positions.

The technical values listed below are merely a snapshot recorded in the "Dial Up" position. Variations in amplitude or rate compared to modern standards are physiological for vintage timepieces.

Furthermore, strictly adhering to our philosophy of preservation, we prioritize retaining original components whenever possible, even if this results in slightly lower performance metrics, provided they do not compromise the reliability and correct functioning of the timepiece.
