The Condition Report
This is an Omega Constellation , reference 14381-2, crafted from 18k yellow gold. The movement's 18 million serial number dates its production to circa 1961. It is powered by the chronometer-certified automatic Caliber 551.
The watch is presented in good vintage condition. Its dial is the strongest feature, remaining in excellent, clean condition with no significant signs of aging. It features applied gold hour markers inset with black onyx, a defining characteristic of the Deluxe models. A light scratch is present just below the "Chronometer" text, though it is primarily visible only when viewed in specific lighting conditions. The original hands, which also feature black inlays, show some light oxidation.
The 34mm gold case has been intentionally left unpolished to preserve its originality and history. As a result, it displays various superficial marks and dings from past use. The caseback shows more evident scratches around the notches, likely from improper tool use during opening attempts. In contrast, the central 18k gold observatory medallion is in excellent condition, remaining sharply defined and retaining its original factory finish, which attests to the case's unpolished state.
The watch is fitted with a new, non-original black leather strap on its 18mm lugs.
