The Condition Report

This is a rare and visually arresting Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox, reference E875, from circa 1970. This reference is highly prized by collectors for housing the Caliber 916, JLC’s first high-frequency "Speedbeat" automatic alarm movement.

The defining characteristic of this piece is its remarkable tropical dial. The outer ring, which features the white minute track and silver applied indices, has aged from its original deep blue into a vibrant, warm orange-caramel tone. This creates a stunning contrast with the central alarm disc, which remains a deep, saturated blue, punctuated only by a few faint caramel-colored spots. This inverted tropical effect makes the watch exceptionally unique and full of vintage character.

The 37mm stainless steel case is in very good vintage condition. It displays an "honest" patina, with scattered surface scratches and a few deeper marks that testify to its history while maintaining the sharp, original lines of the reference. At 37mm, it offers a contemporary and substantial presence on the wrist.

The luminous material on both the dial and the hands is well-preserved and exhibits a matching, consistent tone. While there is some visible oxidation on the movement's rotor, it is purely aesthetic and does not impact the mechanical integrity of the watch. It is paired with a blue leather strap that picks up the deep tones of the central alarm disc.

Performance Log
Upon arrival, every watch is verified for authenticity. The movement is then completely disassembled, and each individual component is cleaned. Once reassembled and lubricated, the timepiece undergoes a rigorous 72-hour test in all dynamic positions.

The technical values listed below are merely a snapshot recorded in the "Dial Up" position. Variations in amplitude or rate compared to modern standards are physiological for vintage timepieces.

Furthermore, strictly adhering to our philosophy of preservation, we prioritize retaining original components whenever possible, even if this results in slightly lower performance metrics, provided they do not compromise the reliability and correct functioning of the timepiece.
