The Condition Report

This Cartier Tortue is an exquisite example of haute horlogerie, belonging to the prestigious Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP). This limited production line was dedicated to reviving Cartier’s most iconic historical shapes using high-end mechanical movements and traditional finishing techniques.

The yellow gold case remains in excellent condition, showing only light superficial scratches consistent with careful use. A distinguishing feature of this reference is the sapphire exhibition caseback, which reveals the Manual Winding Calibre 437 MC. The movement is beautifully finished and fully signed with the Cartier logo motif across the bridges, showcasing the brand's commitment to mechanical excellence during the CPCP era.

The dial is the true centerpiece of the timepiece, featuring a sophisticated silvered floral guilloché pattern that radiates from the center. This intricate texture is complemented by crisp black Roman numerals and a traditional "Chemin de Fer" minute track. Notably, this model features blue steel Breguet-style hands, a rare and elegant departure from the sword or "gladius" hands often found on similar references like the diamond-set 2643.

The watch is paired with its original and distinctive turquoise blue leather strap, secured by a Cartier deployant buckle in solid yellow gold. This combination of the classic Tortue silhouette with the refined CPCP dial and handset makes it a rare find for those who value the peak of Cartier's modern watchmaking history.

Performance Log
Upon arrival, every watch is verified for authenticity. The movement is then completely disassembled, and each individual component is cleaned. Once reassembled and lubricated, the timepiece undergoes a rigorous 72-hour test in all dynamic positions.

The technical values listed below are merely a snapshot recorded in the "Dial Up" position. Variations in amplitude or rate compared to modern standards are physiological for vintage timepieces.

Furthermore, strictly adhering to our philosophy of preservation, we prioritize retaining original components whenever possible, even if this results in slightly lower performance metrics, provided they do not compromise the reliability and correct functioning of the timepiece.
